手稿、ノート、スクラップ、複写物、書簡、写真等 哲学者の上山春平（1921–2012）による研究活動の記録。資料が作成または収集された年代は、おもに1933年から2002年。 このコレクションは11のシリーズで構成される。 - シリーズ1は、経歴に関係する資料や掲載誌を含む。 シリーズ2は、調査や視察の旅行で撮影した写真や委任や受賞の記録を含む。 シリーズ3は、京都大学人文科学研究所等での1960年代前後の研究会資料（レジメや議事録ノート）であり、「人類学」「日本近代文明史研究会」「フランス革命」「KUARA（京都大学アフリカ研究会）」等のテーマが並ぶ。 シリーズ4は、研究テーマ（「憲法草案」「カント研究」「照葉樹林文化」「如意寺」等）や時代（「大学時代」「田辺時代」「高校時代」「岡﨑時代」等）で区分される。このうち未刊行等論考の内容は、本システムで閲覧可能（タイトル一覧を「整理・編成」欄に記載）。 シリーズ5は、研究者（今西錦司、牧康夫、山下正男、堀正人、田岡宏、林巳奈夫、福永光司、辻村喜一、岡村圭真）に関連する別刷りや書簡を含む。 シリーズ6「御進講」とシリーズ7「古代山城」は、シリーズ4の研究資料と同じ性質を持つが、数量が多いことから別途シリーズを設けた。 シリーズ8は、調査で使った地図である。一部、手書きの地図も含む。 シリーズ9から11は、資料タイプ別の区分であり、各シリーズの直下には研究テーマが記されたタイトルが並ぶ。 - This is a collection of records about research by a philosopher Shumpei Ueyama (1921–2012). The materials in this collection were created or collected mainly between 1933 to 2002. Originally, most of the materials were arranged by the creator (Ueyama) by subject. Based on the original order, this collection is divided into eleven series for the intellectual control. Note that several series were supplementarily arranged for the convenience of search. See descriptions about each series below. - Series 1 "Personal papers" consists mainly of biographical materials (including scraps of his writings). Series 2 "Professional papers" includes photographs taken in field trips, records of mandate and awards. Series 3 "Seminar" consists of materials about seminars (handouts, minutes of meetings) at Institution for Research in Humanities, Kyoto University, around the 1960s. Their titles include "Anthropology," "Seminar about modern civilization of Japan," "the French Revolution," "KUARA (Kyoto University Africa Research Association)." Series 4 "Research materials by subject" is arranged into subseries according to research subjects ("a draft constitution," "Kant," "culture of the evergreen broad-leaved forest," and "Nyoiji temple" etc.) and periods ("undergraduate period," "Tanabe period," "high school period," and "Okazaki period" etc.). The contents of seven unpublished articles and three early articles in series 4 can be viewed by Peek. (The titles are listed in "Systems of Arrangement.") Series 5 "Research materials by researcher" includes offprints and correspondences related to researchers who had acquaintance with Ueyama (Kinji Imanishi, Yasuo Maki, Masao Yamashita, Masato Hori, Hiroshi Tanooka, Minao Hayashi, Mitsuji Fukunaga, Kiichi Tsujimura, and Keishin Okamura). This series is arranged based on the original order of the folders, which was arranged by the researchers' name. Series 6 "Research materials for the lectures to the emperor" and series 7 "Research materials on ancient mountain castles" are similar to series 4 "Research materials." They are splitted from series 4 because of their large volumes. Series 8 "Maps" consists of maps that were used in investigation. It includes several hand-drawn maps. Series 9 "Research notebooks by subject," series 10 "Research notes by subject," and series 11 "Research cards by subject" are series of materials arranged by Ueyama according to types of the materials. Each series is arranged according to research subjects.
