「近畿地方の民俗学的調査」映像資料, 1933-1936. 16mm Documentary Films on Folklore Research in the Kinki Region, 1933-1936.

本映像資料は、昭和8年（1933）から3年間、京都帝国大学文学部西田直二郎教授らが服部報公会の学術研究調査の援助金を得て、近畿地方の田楽・祭礼等を映画で記録したものである。全22件のうちデジタル化できたのは9件であった。戦前期の民俗学の映像記録としては、渋沢敬三とアチック・ミューゼアムのメンバーによって撮影されたフィルムが知られる。本映像資料は、それと同時期に撮影された民俗学史上貴重なコレクションである。 These are film recordings of ritual music and dances in the Kinki region made by Naojiro Nishida et al., Professor of the Faculty of Letters, Kyoto Imperial University, with a research grant from the Hattori Hokokai Foundation, over a three-year period beginning in 1933. The films recorded by Keizo Shibusawa and members of his "Attic Museum" are well known as folklore video recordings in pre-World War II era; the videos in this collection are valuable materials that were recorded during the same period for the history of folklore studies.
