Abstract
京都大学カラコラム・ヒンズークシ学術探検隊(1955)の地質班は, カラコラム地域の地質学的な空白地帯を踏査し, その観察を写真およびルートマップに克明に記録した. 長大な氷河が巨大断層上にあることに注目するなど, 構造地質学的な第一発見がルートマップに残る. 翌年の日パ合同探検隊(1956)の写真資料などとあわせて, 両探検隊に参加した藤田和夫(地質学)によって残されてきた本資料群は, カラコラムおよび東部ヒンズークシ地域の当時の風俗・文化をも伝える貴重なアーカイブ資料でもある.
